What will you be doing?

As a Lead Engineer at Brabant Engineering, you’ll be the vital link between concept and realisation. You’ll be responsible for developing innovative solutions and managing technical projects from start to finish. With your expertise, you’ll lead the team to successful outcomes and contribute to the growth of our organisation.

Define and take ownership of conceptual decisions.
Translate ideas into preliminary concepts.
Develop constructions based on concepts, keeping quality, cost, manufacturability, safety and lead time in mind.
Create and monitor project planning.
Ensure the technical quality and completeness of functional specifications.
Provide input on project team composition.
Oversee the technical aspects of risk assessment.
Manage project-related procurement.
Take final responsibility for the quality of the technical documentation.
Prepare and review technical calculations.
Communicate with your team, clients and suppliers.
Support second-line business development and client engagement.

What are you bringing?

You’re a technical expert who knows how to inspire others through your approach and knowledge. You naturally take the lead and know when to act independently and when to collaborate. Additionally, you have:

A bachelor’s (HBO) or master’s (TU) degree in Mechanical Engineering, with at least 6 years of experience, or a comparable degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
Experience with 3D CAD software.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team.
Analytical thinking, decisiveness, and a results-driven mindset.
Excellent communication skills and a client-focused attitude.
A straightforward mindset. We appreciate people who speak their mind.
A keen eye for detail. After all, you wouldn’t be an engineer if you weren’t a perfectionist.
The ability to perform under pressure and stay calm in stressful situations.
